some Summer must sees

I thought I'd share some of my favorite summer movies as summer is a great time to watch good, uplifting (sometimes) shows.  Here are a few of my favorites,

October Baby

I have a strong love for this movie and story, even though at times it can be a bit sad, it does change your perspective.  If you haven't watched this one already go check it out, it is on Netflix!

Geek Charming

Since I have never been a big Disney fan I missed all of their TV movies, so recently this summer I've gone on a Disney TV search. (If you know of any good ones tell me!)  I am not saying they are all good (in fact, some of them are quite cheesy...) but like everything else you find a jewel among the fakes.  This one surprised me.  My father and my siblings and I began watching this some time ago and turned it off within the first few minutes because of how the girl acted.  After a few months I looked this movie up again and thoroughly enjoyed it, my favorite Disney TV movie so far!
I also noted and enjoyed the fact that this movie was not related to anything musical, yet it was still artish.  I loved that, as I do love filming and cannot sing.

(This girl in the movie is quite sweet, I found myself relating to her in some areas.)

Lemonade Mouth

My second favorite next to Geek Charming, this one did focus on music but I loved how it intertwined a bunch of different lives and how they basically came from nowhere.  Another one that if Geek Charming isn't your taste you should try this one.

Radio Rebel

This is actually the movie that started my Disney movie obsession.  A warning, this one does have some cheesy parts but it doesn't quite focus on music.  All of these movies that are Disney focus on being heard and how unpopular can go to popular and girl-gets-guy type stuff, but, they are clean, which was something that I was searching for.
All of these movies above can be found on Netflix!

The Glass Bottom Boat

My family has watched this one so many times that I know a lot of the lines by heart.  It is funny, and it is starring Doris Day!  Trust me, if you watch this you will laugh.

Watch some of these and tell me what you think, or, give me some movie suggestions!

  1. I love the Disney movies too! Despite the cheesy-ness. :) I have never seen October Baby, but I know a lot of people who do and liked it.
