Patrick Bronte

So recently I had to do a research project.
It was on Patrick Bronte, and let me tell you I was disappointed because I really, REALLY wanted Branwell.  But, I faithfully went to work researching the man, and let me tell you, I am quite fond of this character now.
Do you know he wrote more novels than his kids?
Do you know how hard he worked to just get into school?
How much he loved his kids?
How much he loved storytelling?
It just inspired me.

I had to go teach the class about this man, and I was siked.  I color coded everything, I planned out how I was going to present him, I practically spoke of it every day, of how I wanted to present.
Today I did.
Let me tell you, the thought of speaking in front of people thrills me a little now.  Now that I am confident in who I am and what I know.
So I went up there I did my best.  I twisted the papers every which way until they were crinkled.
By the end there was a silence, and people looked at me skeptically, like I had done something wrong.
But then this guy, this guy that hardly ever talks to me, in the audience I hear him tell me good job, I hear him give me a compliment.  It was there.
I didn't respond physically, but it still warms me mentally.  The fact that someone told me that I had done a good job, a good job on something that I was passionate about.
No matter how nerdy it might seem.
Cuz' Patrick Bronte was an amazing person.
But the words that came from that guy, vocally saying that he approved, it made my day.

It's funny how the little things can often get overlooked.
